Christopher Baker-Beall is a lecturer in International Relations. He teaches on the Security, Radicalisation and Terrorism in Europe module.
Christopher has a BA (Hons) degree in International Relations and European Studies (Nottingham Trent University, 2004); an MA in International Relations Theory (Nottingham Trent University, 2008); and a PhD in International Relations (Loughborough University, 2011). Christopher has taught in higher education for over ten years, and is member of a number of international academic associations including the International Studies Association (ISA), the British International Studies Association (BISA), and the Academic Association for Contemporary European Studies (UACES).
Dr Baker-Beall’s research interests can be divided into three areas:
- interpretive approaches to International Relations
- the internal and external security policies of the European Union
- critical approaches to the study of security, with a particular focus on terrorism and counterterrorism policy.
