“It has allowed me to connect with people from around the world and share experiences, which has been one of the most beneficial things I have experienced during my study.
Meeting people from around the world has really expanded my thinking. Seeing how people would manage different situations and tasks leads to interesting discussions. The use of software and systems used in industry has given me a good foundation for professional development. Lecturers are happy to talk with you at any time; this helped me as a part-time student who worked weekdays. It has enabled me to start my Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors Assessment of Professional Competence and helped me interpret situations and work better.
I studied at NTU as an undergraduate too, and even after looking at other universities found it difficult to choose anywhere else to study. The staff are always willing to help and show real interest in everything I have been doing both in and out of university. My course offered me the chance to head to a building design show to meet with industry experts. We also had a good number of speakers from industry. They would often discuss what they were looking for from graduates and how the grad role was a step onto opening up a world of opportunities.
I personally think NTU is a lot more than just a learning environment. Over the last five years I have met people and had experiences I will never forget. From the feeling of receiving my degree to being a member of a winning varsity team. All of it will stay with me my entire life and I believe NTU helped to make that experience what it was.”
