Boost your career with a short course in Construction Project Management

Boost your career with a short course in Construction Project Management

“Across the globe, there’s a widening gap between employers’ need for skilled project management workers and the availability of professionals to fill those roles.”1

This is according to the Project Management Institute, who expect that by 2027, employers will need 87.7 million individuals working in project management roles.2

Project managers in construction are in high demand because they drive change and innovation within their organisation, leading projects that shape the built environment.

To excel in a construction project management role requires professionals to have a wide range of skills and experience. However, not everyone has the time to commit to a full programme of study in order to gain the skills they need, and shorter project management courses may be a more suitable option for some.

Our Short CPD Courses in Construction Project Management can boost your CV in just 8 weeks and help you to upskill in the areas of construction project management that best fit your individual career goals.

What are the benefits of short courses in Construction Project Management?

In today’s competitive job market, it is increasingly important for individuals to differentiate themselves with extra skills, knowledge, qualifications and credentials.

Continued Professional Development (CPD) via a short course enables you to keep up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in your industry and move your career onto the next level, while also showcasing your dedication to staying at the forefront of your field.

Choosing to study a short course is a great way to upskill in a shorter amount of time and focus on the specific areas you would like to gain more experience in, whether this is to facilitate a career move or to better perform in your current role.

A short online course also allows you to study around your existing commitments and provides a recognised qualification to add to your CV in less than three months.

What topics can I study?

The topics covered in the short courses are the same modules that are taught on the full Online MSc Construction Project Management course. Topics include Contemporary Construction Themes, Procurement, Legal Rights and Responsibilities, Corporate Strategy and Finance, Construction Health and Safety and Managing Construction Projects, amongst others.

You can take a mix and match approach to study, choosing the topic or topics that fill the gaps in your experience. Each course is worth 10 masters credits. If, in the future, you decide that you would like to complete the full MSc, you may use the credits you have earned through your short courses to apply for the full masters programme.
